Tina Marrelli, MSN, MA, RN, FAAN is the author of ten books, including the “Handbook of Home Health Standards” which is in its 5th edition. Tina is also the author of the best-selling aide educational system. “Home Health Aide Guidelines for Care: A Handbook for Care Giving at Home” and “Home Health Aide Guidelines for Care: Instructor Manual”. Together these texts help aides, supervisors and patients work together to meet patient care needs and goals.
Tina has been the Editor of 3 peer reviewed publications – and for the last 8 years – The Editor of “Home Healthcare Nurse: The Interdisciplinary Journal for the Home Care and Hospice Professional”.
Tina went to Duke University where she received her degree in nursing and also
has a masters in health administration and nursing. Tina worked in hospitals, nursing homes, public health and has practiced as a visiting nurse in home care and hospice for over 20 years. She also worked at Medicare’s central office for 4 years on home care and hospice policies and operations. Tina is also a health care consultant, specializing specializing in home care.
In her spare time, Tina is a founding member of the International Home Care Nurses Organization (www.IHCNO.org) which was developed to support a vibrant worldwide network of nurses to promote excellence in providing optimal care to patients living at home wherever they live in the world.
